In the wee hours of the morning (I could not sleep) I decided to go thru all my seeds. I got rid of those that were 2017 and earlier. I made a list of what I needed to replace (and added some new ones) and placed several orders. I also did some organizing too. I ordered and received the following box: The 16 individual boxes inside fit a lot (they are for 4x6 photos).

So how do you all keep your seeds? Do you organize them?

That is so neat. Where did you get it? I purchased this from Amazon. They have other brands. Do a search for "4" x 6" Photo and Craft Keeper" but the link is the one I bought.

Shawn: Where do you store your seed collection? After I place all the packets in their marked boxes, they are placed in the one huge box and then stored under my desk.

How did I miss this?!!!
Do you have any idea how many individual seed packets you have (approximately) and what percentage of the outer big box they’ve taken up?

Let me take a look.... MaryL
ok, there are 16 individual boxes within the main box.
Taking a look at the ones with the most seed packets in them are as follows:
27 seed packets in the Flowers 14 Cilantros (and they are bulky) 17 Basils 21 Sweet Peppers 25 Hot Peppers
and so much more ..
I still have tons of space in a lot of the other inner boxes.
And I just took a count 157 packets of seeds Andd I have more that I have not filed yet.

I have this same box for my seeds. It's great. Previously I used a binder with baseball card pages which worked fine for most seed packets, but the packets would occasionally slide out as i turned the pages if i wasn't paying attention, which was a bit annoying. This box keeps the packets a little more under control and still works well for larger seed packets.

Still, your previous seed storage looks better than mine, which are currently in 3 smaller containers meant for seed starting so don’t really work. I still haven’t decided to take the plunge. I don’t know yet where I’d store the large box. I’d want it out of the way in a cabinet but still accessible enough to not let laziness get the better of me and dissuade me from planting.

This is awesome! I use little vials for seed storage, but this looks so much easier.

Following your lead on this one. I've been keeping some of mine in the fridge and I think the boxes are probably a little frustrating to my wife.
Now I just have to figure out what to do with my unused AG pods.

I have gone completely custom however do have some AG pods. I may break they all out and place them in ziploc bags and place all the bags in a box. THis way I can get rid of all the AG boxes and if needed I can rummage thru the one box.

I use a lot of my oldest AG kit pods as grow anything pods because the seeds are so old. I just use tweezers and try to remove what’s in there and then put in my own seed.
