If you look closely at the threads photos, you will see a very large motor-like mechanism(air pump) with nozzles. The hoses are connected to the nozzles and then scrolling down a bit more you will see a very large gray stone cylinder over a ruler. This is connected to a hose. Scrolling down further you can see the 2 big airstones bubbling and aerating the orangy water ready for planting. It bubbles like the SS6 and Sprout.
Gotcha, so the aeration is more akin to those two units, instead of the pump in the bounty. I hadn't seen the other setups so I thought the water was being splashed up to the sponges. Honestly, I am not even sure how my bounty works - all I know is the water splashes up toward the lid and it looks like the sponges get watered often. So an aerator and keeping the water at a higher level will suffice?

I used 4" cylindrical air stones for these, 2 of them. The pump could control up to 4 stones. These totes grew far more than I can use. I need to find a smaller option. But they are simple to set up. The lights said 300w, but I think they have less power than the Ultras. I got rid of those lights.
Sorry about not seeing these posts, before.

No worries. That is good info. I was just unaware of how the other models worked. So instead of the water hitting the pods individually, the air stone just sits and aerates the water continuously - and you just make sure the water level is high enough?
