I picked up some Tom Thumb Pea seeds from the Seed Savers Exchange, and since they tend to be short enough that they're often grown in containers, I thought I'd try growing it in a Sprout. I'm using two pods, each with one seed, and just plain water for now.

I need to figure out what to do for covering the pods soon... and figure out how much nutes I should give it.

I guess I'll skip the pod covers on these, they seem to be doing a good enough job on their own.

To me, the peas produce beautiful leaves, flowers and, yes, even the tendrils are gracefull! Peapods soon!

Pea Plants are beauitful (I know I say this all the time) and graceful they way they grow and the way the tendrils form and peas pop out.

Yay! Such a cutie. I found them delicious and with a great crunch just picking them off and snacking raw from the machine!

I haven't tried eating any yet, but I'll definitely be growing these again. The tallest of the two is only 7" high, and required no trellising. Great for small containers.

Very happy with this project - the peas are almost at end of life, I've left one pod to mature / dry out.

I've added these to my list to try. Looks like a good project for a harvest or sprout.
