Here's what I've come up with for the next round of R & R's. In order to remove the decks and have them safely suspended while we empty, clean & refill the basins...and so that I can trim roots too...I found a storage shelf already in my pantry that is perfect for the job! I'm going to grab one of those "food service trays" on our next trip to Cash & Carry to place the shelf on, then the deck, so easy clean up after trimming, etc. The trays are 3 or 4 bucks and the shelf was already here. Cheap enough & I think it is just the ticket. See pictures below. Here's the shelf: Here's how it will be used: I'm hopeful that this will simplify the process and keep the plants safe too.

At least you found something that works for you and cheap to boot. Thankfully I have a double large kitchen sink. The deck fits nicely along the rims so I just use one side to place mine and the other to clean and rinse.

When turning pods this morning...look what I found! Congrats on the flowers! Just curious, what do you mean Turning Pods? We like to turn the pods to make the roots form a nice ball. Instead of wandering all around the basin and into things like the pump. I try to turn them everyday...or at least every other day. Makes maintenance so much easier and gives one a chance to take a good look at the plants all around.

Every few days I turn the pods. This results in the roots forming a soft root ball. It helps contain the roots so they do not invade the pump.
If you do a search for the phrase root ball and my name you will find a picture of what they look like

Day 44: Look what I found this morning!! Jalapeno is remains the front runner in the pepper garden: Followed by Lilac Bell: The AG Bell Pepper looks happy enough, but no action on the bud/flower part. It is on Hawaii Time too! LOL. It will get there when it decides to get to it!

The one oddball/tall tomato plant FINALLY has a single half-pea sized tomato starting! I think she heard me thinking of removing her from the Farm!

Today was the day for the 2nd R & R on the Farm 24+ gardens. Everyone bowls dumped, cleaned and refilled. Appropriate nutes added. And, I got to use my new "rack" to help with root trimming and cleaning of the decks too. See pictures below and look for the puppy noses staying well clear of all the action...LOL. See da puppies? No dummies! Things are just a tad too busy for them...
