It’s been a while since I posted but I’m back! Just decided to give my machines a rest over the summer which turned into fall which turned into winter. I have two Red Robin plants in my Bounty, 15 days since planting. One has an obvious head start. Added nutes for the first time, 5ml of the good ole AG stuff.

cheddachasa, what is the status of your tomatoes? Do you have anything else growing?

cheddachasa, what is the status of your tomatoes? Do you have anything else growing? The tomatoes are doing fine! No other gardens yet. Growing my bell pepper in my other Bounty for over a year made it so dirty I need a new deck for it.

My babies are growing! Hopefully they can survive my son who keeps taking the plants out of the garden!

How old is your son that he is that inquisitive?

My son is seven. I have started bringing him over to the garden and explaining what’s going on so hopefully he’ll get the urge not to touch the plants.

I know what you mean about decks used for long term projects becoming unusable.
I have had some luck soaking them in vinegar a couple of days, then scrubbing with a pot scourer.
@cornne was successful with Lime-Away. Here's her post.

That is great. It is nice to teach our little ones to care for things like plants and stuff.

These are Red Robin seeds I received from Bunny Hop Seeds. Not sure if they’re any different from the AG seeds. The plants are very dense so the lowest leaves are starting to yellow. We do have some fruit buried among the leaves.

cheddachasa, try cutting off those yellowing lower leaves back to the stem. It will improve air circulation and should stimulate more fruit production.
The plants look healthy.

Day 68 and we have plenty of tomatoes and a bit of a growth spurt. Photo was taken after a good trimming.

Time for an update. The plants are doing well though I am seeing a bit of tip burn on some of the younger leaves. Got a decent amount of tomatoes from the first harvest! What a great tomato harvest. Wendy
