I actually visited a local hydroponic store yesterday and bought that very same product as well as the bloom. I am fighting with some type of root pathogen.. not sure where it came from but really starting to get discouraged with Hydroponics.. The 5ml per gallon of the grow make a solution that has an ec of 1.20 with water starting at .43 and is what I just used for my 2 tomatoes and one lettuce after a hydrogen peroxide rinse.. I think I had some something growing in the bottom of a milk jug I was using to mix nutrient in.. No more milk jugs.. going to use an open pitcher I can properly clean and hope for the best.

What percentage of the roots should I leave exposed from the water? Does it matter how old the transplant is? Like a 2week seedling vs a 36day old basil in my Bounty elite? Lol I've only had my bounty for 36days and I'm already going to attempt kratky. It's created a monster!! Can't stop now need all the plants

I can see that you're joining the rest of us addicts I would recommend leaving the top 25% of the roots exposed to air when you're refilling. When you start a Kratky plant from seed, you can fill all the way to the top (at first!) and let the plant drink the nutrient solution and create an air gap on its own, but if you're doing a transplant then make sure you leave some exposed to air.
