September 1st, 2021 I was changing water and adding nutrients today, so I took the opportunity to trim stuff back. This is after trimming... here's a pile of herbs I cooked with tonight

October 1st, 2021 The herb garden started to get out of hand. The tarragon in the lower right is doing nicely. I have trouble keeping the oregano from going leggy. I just keep chopping away at it and now it has some new growth coming from the bottom.

I think I've figured out what I want to do with my gardens. The basil one is so successful. I think the reason is that all of the plants are the same... they germinate the same, grow the same... it makes them more compatible. My herb garden, some things do well, some don't. I have a round six pod model I got for cheap. I think I'm going to load each of the small ones with a single kind of herb... thyme in the round Harvest, and rosemary in the Harvest Elite. Basil, thyme and rosemary should do me well. It's going to take a few months to transition to that.
Chives just don't grow fast enough to keep up with my use of it. Better to get chives at the market. And the oregano is leggy and the leaves burn in the lights too easy. Tarragon is doing well. I might leave that with the rosemary.

Are you using AG oregano? I use other vendors and mine grows like a ground cover .

Yes, I think the problem is the different sizes of the plants. The oregano grows fast and tall into the light and the others don't, so it gets burned. If I had all oregano in there and no slow and short rosemary, it most likely wouldn't be a problem.
In other news, two months later the marjoram has finally sprouted. Since marjoram looks so much like oregano, I'm not sure if it sprouted from a seed or if a root from the oregano invaded the pod and took root.
