I always wanted a house out in the country with a lot of land so that I could grow a massive garden. However, I do not think I would have the patience to compete with deer, rabbits, squirrels, etc...

My neighbors have raised garden beds and then chicken wire rooms around them. I should take a picture sometime, it is a very nice set up. They use that corrugated metal to build the beds. They seem to do well.

To be able to grow my own. But I do not have the green thumb for that. Also the deer and rabbits would eat it up. I think you underestimate yourself. I don't believe wild life would bother them, squirrels do not dig them up and Garlic is one of the thing that is Deer resistant. Find a sunny spot and stuff some glove in (2" down) at the proper time of year.. What do you have to loose? One bulb of garlic and 10 minutes of time..

airscapes, I also have a pup here that I need to take into consideration. This one is a devil and I would not trust growing garlic.
