Harvested another crop of banana peppers today. The yield was nearly 3 pints of seeded, sliced peppers for pickling. I really need to save some of this plant's seeds--it is a real producer!

Very nice lynnee. I too have saved some seeds from peppers I liked and they did grow nicely the 2nd time around.

For some reason, at Day 87 the Poblano peppers in the upstairs Bounty are still reluctant to bear fruit. One plant has three poblanos developing--very slowly--but the plants (3 of them, I think) are dropping the additional fruits that had set, and are not producing many new blooms. They're in the same room with the Farm 12 XL eggplants, and with Bounties that are producing bell peppers and tomatoes. I've tried boosting the Poblanos with some extra nutrients and CalMag+, but that just makes them want to grow into the lights (now at max height). Current plan is to be patient, adding nutrients every 2 weeks, until the developing peppers get big enough to harvest. Then I may start over with a new garden. The three plants, which were pruned today. It brought them an inch or two down from the lights, The plant on the right, with 4 developing peppers. The two plants at the left, which will be producing okay, as long as they don't drop the fruit that has set. Maybe I'm just being impatient.

My outdoor poblanos didn't produce many peppers last year either, lynnee. Maybe they just don't produce a lot unless mike grows them.

I wonder if the Liquid Koolbloom would help?

I wonder if the Liquid Koolbloom would help? I have some Koolbloom--got it a few weeks ago. I'll try it!

Finally I think I've solved the mystery of why the Poblanos have failed to thrive. The Bounty Elite was placed sideways, across the room from a ceiling heat vent. The Poblano that was farthest from the vent, and shielded by the other two plants, was the only one with developing peppers. Today I relocated the Bounty Elite, so it is no longer being hit by the air flow from the vent. I also removed the weakest plant--the one that was closest to the vent and had almost no blooms. All of the roots looked fine. Then I pruned the remaining plants away from the lights, did an R&R, and added 12 ml AG nutrients, 5 ml CalMag+, and 2 ml Koolbloom. If the CalMag+ and Koolbloom don't kill the plants, maybe they'll do better in the new location! Unfortunately, I dislodged a 3" Poblano during the R&R. The best plant still has 3 developing Poblanos (only one is visible in the photo), and the second plant has several babies that may develop properly now.

Today I took out one of the two Bell Peppers in the upstairs Bounty. It had a single pepper that was developing very slowly, and few blooms. The other plant was blocking the light, and probably hogging the nutrients. The plant that I kept has 8 bell peppers developing at present. You can't see all of them in the photo, so I marked the locations with dots. Hopefully I didn't damage too many of the remaining plant's roots when I had to cut the two plants apart! 🫑

The bell pepper and banana pepper in the Farm Plus continue to produce! You can see some of the banana peppers at the right, and several of the bells. There are 9-10 bells coming, plus more blooms.

My poblanos from a couple of days ago. On the right-hand plant there are three developing peppers. Two are about 3.5 inches long; one of these is partly hidden behind the big leaf in front. They have a ways to go before being suitable for stuffing! The plant on the left has a number of tiny developing peppers, but it keeps dropping them.
