Lovely lettuce! Of all the things I grow in the AGs, I think we love the lettuce most. The difference from retail lettuce--even from the farmer's market--is so pronounced.

Lettuce and Greens got nutes today, pump tested too. The lettuce looks great. The Chard has yet to make an appearance. One Arugula is doing well, one is just starting and the third is on Hawaii time.

Did you use older seeds for the Swiss chard? Mine usually germinates right along with the lettuce. Right now, it's chives, curly parsley, and thyme that are growing very, very slowly in my Farm Plus.

campingcorgis, I soaked my chard seeds for 8 hours, then put them in wet paper towels and a zip lock bag, and theyΒ sprouted in 2 days. Before that, germination was always slow and erratic for me, too.
Shawn, I am very surprised yours sprouted so quickly.

Day 19: We've been enjoying home grown salad again! Woo hoo! One arugula is very happy. The other two, who knows? Chard...thinking I'll need to replant (per Sher's pre-sprouting instructions) or I may just use some AG pods, whatever lettuce I have left?

When my one pepper plant is done turning red I think I will get that side cleaned and grow some lettuce. Now I want a salad LOL

Day 21: The chard just isn't happening. Next time, I'll need to pre-germinate, per Sher's instructions. For now, it was just easier to pull those pods and replace. Replaced with AG pods: Black Seeded Simpson; Marvel of 4 Seasons; Rouge d'Hiver. The other 2 arugula may be showing signs of life, at last! Well, at least one of them. Time will tell.
