Hello and welcome to AGA. Have you contacted AeroGarden about the issue? What model do you have? How old is it?

It is a farm 24 basic, and is outside of warranty. Has anyone had any luck repairing these, mine has a bad fuse and what appears to be a bad diode in the bridge rectifier.

Honestly, you could be speaking another language, when it comes to the parts you mentioned. Might you re-phrase it in non-technical speak? It kind of sounds like the light went out? Did you inquire about purchase of the entire light, or something? If that's the part that will "get this unit growing again" Sorry I'm not of more help. It isn't for lack of caring...I just don't understand the issue fully!?

Parts unavailable due to supply chain disruption? You might look around the Internet for a used model to cannibalize for parts. If it's only the lights that are bad, then I'm pretty sure that you could use the lights from any Farm 12 or Farm model. If you think the problem is with the wiring or circuit board, then you will need a new Farm 24 hood. These are very expensive, of course; and the lights are expensive, too. If you think you need a new hood, then it might be best just to purchase a new Farm 24. If you go to the Aerogarden site, you will find the gardens on sale for less than the full retail price. I don't think that the hoods can be repaired. When one of mine stopped controlling the pump, AG said the whole hood needed to be replaced, even though the display, lights, and up/down feature were all working.

They did not give a specific reason. "Unfortunately, we do not have those tops available for purchase. We apologize for this inconvenience. There may be some available on eBay or Facebook Market place, but please keep in mind that those are not authorized resellers, and there may be a slight risk." Great support haha, however I was able to repair it.

I ended up replacing two diodes and a fuse, now I need to figure out why its not generating a code so I can pair it to the app.

Hello, I know this is an older thread, but my LED driver failed and like others no real help from AG except for an additional 10% of a new one.
I can wire in a stock LED driver for the LED board, but I can't get any info from AG as to what voltage the LEDs run and what wattage I need.
Anybody bought a stock driver and replaced theirs?
Thanks!

Hello rickbaro, The OP of this post never did tell us how they fixed theirs and I have not had that problem.
If I am correct in reading (excuse me I have not had any coffee yet) is it the display that is not working? Ir is it the lights?

sorry for the late response, but it's the overhead grow lights. AG won't/ can't tell me what the electrical characteristics are. And they just want me to buy a new Bounty. I'm too cheap to just throw the whole thing away especially when it's only one component that it bad.

How do you know it is the LED Driver? Just curious how it was diagnosed. Also how old is the unit? I am guess it is out of warranty.

About four years old (AG agreed it's out of warranty). The lights started flickering, so I took it apart hoping to find a bad connections, but when I pressed on one of the solder joints with my meter, it stopped working altogether. No output on the DC side. The input was correct.
I didn't think it would be a big deal since LED drivers are kinda' all the same in a way. I recently built a piece of furniture and used some LED strips. It was pretty simple; you're given a wattage per foot of the strip, and you buy either 24, or 48volt. Add up the footage and you know the wattage.
I'm thinking I'll just buy a driver in the 45 watt range, with a switchable between 24 and 48 volt. But for all I know they could be running the LEDs on 12vdc.
The driver may have to be mounted outside the garden laying behind it. but at least we get to use the thing again.
