if you are using a Android phone there is an app called send reduced. when you go to email your photo you can choose send reduce which will reduce the size to what you preset in the app, and then offer you the same options as you get when you first go to share. So just one extra step to share an image and it auto shrinks

While they may be too tall for a Sprout, it definitely seems like growing carrots in an AeroGarden is feasible:

I've heard that the Uzbek Golden is sweeter than most carrots! Sounds like a great carrot to grow.

Boy you could probably grow a good amount Kratky method in a large tub Just need to cut the bottom of the cage in halve so it will still hold the sponge but separate as the root grows.

Ended this today! I forgot to take a picture, but the carrot had almost reached the diameter of the pod.
The pod itself was not damaged, but the very bottom portion of the carrot had started to rot from being in the water for so long. If I grew a hydroponic carrot again, I would try a method with more aeration (such as DWC) or harvest it at a smaller stage (like I had originally intended).
