Add some kind of bloom booster, Shawn? Or just do an R&R with some extra Ag nutes for mature growing plants?

These are bursting with leaves but I want to know when I will see flower stalks. If no stalks by the middle of May I will transplant into pots and place them on the deck.

Cut down on nutes with nitrogen and add more bloom builder? Also check the pH? My reluctant-to-bloom veggies always respond to KoolBloom, though they need balanced nutes along with KB to hold the fruit. It may be that yours are outdoor plants at heart, I suppose.

Shawn, Gerbera daisies usually take 14-18 weeks to bloom, so they are naturally slow. You may just have to wait.
But they should be so worth it!

I do not own any meters nor have I have pH in years. I stopped doing that because it drove me crazy. I think I have a water test kit and if I do I will check.
How much KoolBloom in a Harvest? I add 8ml AG nutes.

I add 8ml AG nutes. Koolbloom dosage is 2.5-5 ml per gallon of water, but it's wise to err on the conservative side. Does a Harvest hold 1/2 gallon of water? If so, I'd add 1-1.5 ml. You won't want to buy Koolbloom for such a tiny amount, though. I know what you mean about the pH testing. I swore that I'd never bother with it--the beauty of AGs is that you can use just the AG nutes to grow just about anything. However, I got the General Hydroponics pH testing kit, and found it very easy to use. Now I use it whenever something seems to have stopped growing. Mostly the pH is okay in my AGs as long as I do biweekly R&Rs with AG nutes, so I don't do pH testing unless there seems to be a problem (except for strawberries).

lynnee , my pH shows 4 or below. pH of 4 is very acidic, Shawn , so that might be holding the plants back. Most plants do okay with a pH of 5.5 to 6.5; flowers seem to like 6.5 to 7.0. An R&R with AG nutes might be just the ticket. That will rebalance the pH. If you have pH UP solution (blue), 1 ml (or less) would probably be enough to correct the pH. A little goes a long way! FWIW, This is the pH testing kit that I use. As Sher said, the Gerberas may simply not be ready to bloom. Does the seed packet give a maturity date?

Hope you get it figured out and see lots of flowers...eventually! That aside, what do you think of the Harvest XL?

I love mine. I love the sliding system of raising and lowering the lights, the extra space on the deck. And the ability to grow something higher the 12"

You know, this project reminded me of a friend's uncle. Uncle Pat (RIP), was such a hoot. His wife loved Christmas trees. So much so that she had one for most rooms in the house. To simplify Christmas decorating, they got artificial trees. Then, he could just cover them and hang them from the garage rafters. But that's another story and memory, had to share it anyway... Uncle Pat had other ways of simplifying projects. In the backyard, he had lovely planters around the perimeter. Beautiful plants and flowers...until you looked closer and realized they were artificial! Artificial outside plants...LOL. He took the Astro Turf idea to a whole new level. Maybe stick a pretty dried flower or something else bright and cheerful in the AG until it has flowers? I'll loan you a garden gnome or two?
