I trimmed these the way I would have an outdoor plant that had gotten away from me, and they have responded well to that treatment!! I think anything in the mint family honestly thrives on a little abuse.

I hope I can keep mine under control assuming it germinates. I need to look and see how it is doing. It's a member of the mint family, so it can be a little unruly. I've always been a fan of unruly edibles, because they push out undesirables in my lawn, but not everyone feels the same lol. It can be a bit of a nuisance in a hydroponic system if you don't take scissors to it pretty aggressively! |

Do you use them right away or dehydrate for later? You get a lot! A little of both!! I like to make tea with the fresh leaves, but the dried is almost as good and lasts a lot longer!! I need to plant more lemon balm at some point soon, I ended this garden quite a while back because I was overflowing with the dried leaves. But I'm starting to run out! |
