There are 5 more peppers starting and the earlier one is maybe 1/4 the size of a habanero now.
I just deployed my 1' extension as this plant was touching the light besides having branches almost 2' outside the light. I had thought I would be using the extension for the Brussels sprouts but they are currently 4" below the light. Maybe I should just order another extension.
This habanero plant is the size of a small bush.
I have 3 Bounty Basics close to each other on the counter (currently this habanero as well as the Santa Fe Grande peppers and the Brussels sprouts). 2 back to back and one of to the side. When plants are doing well they like to reach into the light of the other Bountys.
Edit: I almost forgot to mention that is was very easy to add the extension. I just unplugged the Bounty power cord, fit the extension to the Bounty light and plugged it in, plugged the Bounty power back in, told the Bounty my power went out and reset the time.

Good to know that the extension works, tompepper7!

This weekend I'll be harvesting the last of the Santa Fe Grande Peppers then getting the Bounty cleaned up for growing the Hananero Habanada peppers ("Instead of heat it delivers a blast of sweet tropical flavors"). We'll see.

Looking forward to hearing about your experience with the Habanada peppers. I'm deciding what to grow outdoors this year and Habanada peppers are on the short list.

The Caribbean Red Habanero still has just the 10 peppers. It seems kind of odd to me, the pepper that showed up days before the others is the same size or smaller than some of the later peppers. I measured the width of the plant in three different directions (as the stems are growing). In each direction it is one yard or more. Hoping for more than 10 peppers.

Holding a quarter under the peppers, the 3 smallest peppers are about the width of the quarter. The 7 larger peppers make the quarter look slightly small. Guess I just need to wait and wait and wait for the peppers to turn red... I'm getting a bit bummed out using the "Be the Bee" on the flowers as there has been no further peppers spotted.

Here are 6 of the red habanero peppers.
So far 10 red peppers harvested with one latter pepper still green and growing. So 11 peppers and no more starting yet.

What beautiful peppers! They sure took their time--nearly 6 months.

I have said the Red Halapeno plant is huge. The Bounty light above is at about 2.5 feet.

The Red Habanero pepper plant finally has 2 more peppers starting. After producing 11 peppers it has been around a month with no further activity (although the plant is still doing well). The only reason it is still there is because I need to purchase some pruning shears to remove the thumb circumference main stem, so I have just kept the water topped off. With the couple new peppers I flushed the Bounty and added fresh nutrients.

You can prune off the lower leaves and the non-producing branches to encourage the plant to get really going again.

The Red Habanero plant is at 235 days. I have tried a few different thing while growing this plant. Since it seemed it was taking a while to produce peppers I switched to newly purchased Fox Farm nutrients after a number of months. I also read shortening the light cycle would make the plant produce peppers, so I did that too. I am using the Fox Farm nutrients at the Extended Flowering week 12 level. I have returned the light to the Aerogarden pepper cycle.
Still just 2 new peppers growing.
A side story, I gave a half dozen of the red habaneros to a Filipina co-worker.
She made something for herself and said it was too hot. But that meant it was good. She used the rest in a curry sauce for the family and said it was too hot which means they liked it.

Have you tried Koolbloom? That helps plants to set and retain fruit. Love your "too hot" story!

That Liquid KoolBloom really works well for me. Just don't use maximum recommended amount. It suggests 2.5-5 ml per gallon. DO NOT USE 5! Not unless you want to shock the plant and have it drop all of its blooms. That is what happened to me when I used it for the first time on a mature plant. Start with 2 ml and increase to no more than 3 ml. It does say you may want to shock the plant between crops. I only do this right before the final crop to get the best possible yield from that last crop.

Found 3 more peppers just starting today - so that makes 7. May have another batch starting. I'm hoping for a couple dozen or more.
Edit: The Aerogarden says 238 days.
