This morning I planted a new pepper in the Ultra with the GAL Pepper. It will have to catch up but I had had a tall and short in the same machine before. This one should catch up in height.
Pepper: Fresno, a medium heat pepper that grows 2 to 3 inches long by 1 to 1.25 inches wide. Has a thick flesh. Goes from from green to orange to red with upright pods that become pendants. From California.
Vendor: Chileplants Seeds: 2 in the pod Sponge: Park Seed
Time will tell, more when something happens.

I keep meaning to grow some of those, but kinda have my hands full.
Will follow.

Shawn, what was the pepper in this garden that you removed? It escapes me now.

Shawn, what was the pepper in this garden that you removed? It escapes me now. I had a Burpee Hot Pepper Mix in there. There were 5 different peppers mix together, so I do not know what it would have been until it grew. I will try it again ... one day. It could have very well been the type of pepper but I doubt it. I will try to regrow it in April, then plant it outside and see what happens.

One of the two seeds have sprouted. It is still under the label but it is about to pop thru. 6 Days! Here is a top and angled view.

Added Mooch yesterday. Both seeds are up. Will wait a little more to trim one out.

I am debating on thinning it. If I do I may give more energy to the remaining one

If I do I may give more energy to the remaining one I was just ruminating on this the other day. I often wait to thin, for no reason, until they’re quite a bit bigger, but then it occurred to me that maybe I shouldn’t let the roots of the doomed one get so big because they’ll just die off and pollute the water. (And you know I’m terrible about doing Rinse and Refills).

Nutes and Mooch added. Yes it is before the 30 day mark for mooch but this is sharing a machine with another plant. I also trimmed out the younger plant. So we now have one that I hope grows strong.

Slowly but surely. I am sure the height of the hood is making it grow slower but as least it is growing!

Healthy. Will you be topping this one or no? I do not know. This plant height is said to be 18" to 24". I guess as it grows we can figure that out.

In any case, too soon to prune that one.

Fresno is still growing nicely. I need to take a picture and share it.

Here is the Fresno and a close up of the branched out leaves. Should I be topping it yet or wait another week?
