After tonight it is going to change drastically, but this is what I’ve been running in my grow tent while waiting for my Peppers to get going. Genovese and Thai basil both started in AG.

Thanks. I have everyone at work saving them for me, but I think I may have to upgrade already to have one unit that can hold 4-6 net pots. I'm going today to check out a 5-gallon bucket and lid and a 3in hole bit for my drill.

One tip I learned from my own home made rigs...You may want to make sure they are tinted. If they are clear, the light will allow algae to grow big time! FWIW

What's the grow medium?

Just standard clay pebbles. Currently using a mix of all three steps of GH Flora series 2ml of each per gallon. However, I have been seeing a few folks using just the FloraGro at 2ml\g. When I put the new setup together I'm thinking about leaving the Fruit and Bloom out and trying 2.5ml\g of the Gro since it's herbs and all just leafy green growth.

Thanks. I'm planning on getting a 5-gallon bucket and lid today and making a nice 4-pot setup for all my basil. Probably going to toss the thai. We tried it last night and didn't care for it. This is all experimentation this season so I am not attached too much to any particular plant. lol

Yeah the Thai is not for everyone. I think I like it in a proper Thai dish, when it’s together with other flavors that compliment it, but alone it’s too much anise for me.
Are your buckets going going to be outside, or indoors with a grow light? I wish I could do some indoor buckets in the garage, but that’s pretty full.

I got a 4x4x6'7 grow tent so I can grow year round and keep my cat off my stuff. I'll have 2-3 buckets in the tent along with 2-3 cloth pots for peppers and herbs. Everything else (if you've seen the other pics of my seed trays), will be going outside. I recently discovered that they also make large raised garden style cloth pots, and my wife wants to try those this year. We are really excited about those.

Thai basil is the best... unless you're not all-in for anise. (I am, though)

Carmen, I don't think you need more than the Grow for basil's and any greens for the most part. You don't want them to bloom as that is when they get a bitter taste. As they get older I always start looking for any sign of a flower bud so I can pinch it off. Your plants look great.

I don't know. I'd be inclined to toss in some Flora Micro as well. More nitrogen.

I can't say anymore. I switched from GH nutes quite a while ago. I use Growth Technology Ionic brand now for greens and herbs. It is pH buffered. I don't have to monitor pH levels.

A standard post-sprouted growth mode would be 7.5ml of Micro and 12.5 of Grow (per gallon), but I'd at least halve that if they're still sprouting. Mostly, maybe no nutes until you see the fake two leaves sprout, then a half-strength regime for a week or two, but after it's starting to branch, go full strength.
