Ok I went out there and harvested a bunch more goodies, became concerned about the increasing aphid infestation, began spraying, and forgot to measure. But, I can say that in an EarthBox it is almost as tall as me, and I’m 5’8” so it’s still manageable. Actually I think I’ve shrunk to 5’7” now, so it’s lower than that. The 2 sweetest varieties out there - the Frosted Green Doctors’ and the Sunrise Bumblebee - are in the same Earthbox and are suffering infestation. It’s a challenge how to not bring them inside to my AG’s, let alone to the other EarthBoxes outside. I feel like I need one of those blasting showers from Silkwood.

the aphids visit you yearly..they like your gardens.go by a tub of ladybugs. i was reading up on the green doc and it is supposed to be quite sweet. thanks for estimating the height,,they may be too large for inside, though. i never ssaw that film..will have to see if i can stream it.

Have you tried to put orange peels out there. Orange Guard is safe for people and pets but kills bugs and made from orange peel oils.
They have it at Amazzon. There is also Safer Brand Yard and Garden Ready to Use 24 Ounces at Amazon that states it kills aphids. ANd also a Safer Brand 5118 Insect Killing Soap.
I am not saying to get these but it is something that I had read about.

We only have 2 seasons here: Growth and High Growth, lol. It rarely drops even to 50 degrees in the winter. We’re lucky if we get to 60. So we have plants and flowers growing around my house all year long. And aphids with many of them. 🤷♀️ Re: Silkwood, it’s the film about Karen Silkwood that Cher won an award for. It’s a little heavy, but very good. Highly recommend.

I bought an insecticidal soap that I have yet to use. I need to find the big sprayer I bought for it and just do it. But you know me...lol. So I just blasted with the water hose for the time being. I am actually surprised that I don’t have more aphids on other plants. I have routinely cut away a lot of foliage and kept the plants airy. I think that helps.
