I consider you a pepper person, but I think you are becoming a lettuce lover!

Harvesting my first salad today! Here is the before and after as well as the harvested lettuce (a regular salad bowl is next to it for size comparison. Bowl is not only larger in roundness but also taller. So a lot of lettuce leaves)

I have it all rolled up in a damp towel. I will make a salad for dinner and share it with Mark. So essentially two side salads with dinner tonight.

I actually made a really good salad and it tasted sooo yummy. I took two bites and gave it to Mark and he ate the whole thing LOL. He said it was the best tasting lettuce he had in a long time.

I also love how tender the fresh young leaves are. Nicely done.

Yum. Very nice. Shawn, can you tell any difference between the Dragoon and the Jericho?

Yum. Very nice. Shawn, can you tell any difference between the Dragoon and the Jericho? Umm, I mixed them together and it was gone so fast all I know is it tasted good. I will check on my next harvesting.

I've got some seedlings going. (The ones that you sent me.) So far, I can't see any difference between the two :-)
Edit: While they have similar shapes, textures and tastes, the Dragoon has a nicer, deeper color.

I had three nice harvests from this Garden. I will be ending it today. I am debating growing lettuce again or making a cilantro Forest. If I can get any to germinate this season.

I know I Terminated this garden but instead of creating a new thread on lettuce again, I will keep it here.
Restarting this same project today!

That was a wonderful project. It makes me want to grow lettuce now when my peppers are ripe and harvested.

Mark really enjoyed it as did I. So I have more growing. I was going to plant Cilantro but it is ticking me off because I have not had any germinate , I wonder if I should open the seeds up a bit by pressing lightly on them.
