How to Modify AeroGarden Extra Grow Lights Set up

Anybody here has had success modifying an AeroGarden extra light set up to LED?

 Oh my. Why did they make another proprietary bulb?

 I found this eBay seller very helpful with the type of adapter that I needed.
Why don’t you write her with the photo and see if she has any adapters to sell you?

I bought adapters off eBay. Then bought 2 led grow light bulbs on Amazon. Works great!  Their around 24 watts total, and very bright!

I've tried two methods, adding my own leds on a heatsink between the bulbs, and just removing the top and adding my own lights. I think it depends on your space and what you are going for. Mine are inq storage room so appearance isn't an issue, so hanging a light over top isn't an issue. But if it out in the open they adding light would be better. I'd look in adding some led strips in there or just pulling the old bulbs out and wiring your own. I'll see if I can dig up a picture of my modded hood......
