Hey everybody -- a bit worried about my plant, as it seems a bit behind in growth (4 weeks) compared to some of the progress pics I've seen on the forum. It looks healthy though, what do you guys think? Thanks!

It looks fine to me. I had the same thing with the cotyledons (the first two starter leaves) and that went away. But the true leaves look nice and green.
As for the growing time frame, you have to remember if the machine you are using has a lower LED wattage that will affect how fast it may grow.
I would not worry.

imgur.com/a/PBtsP0S5 weeks growth here -- still looking healthy so that's hopefully a good sign. Noticeable growth from last week's post. As you mentioned Shawn, it is perhaps a wattage issue (my system is only 20W). Off-topic but does anybody else get the brown looking dirt come up through the covered pods (shown on the pod to the right of the plant)? I'm not sure where it's coming from but I would imagine from the reservoir somehow (food, soil maybe)? Thanks!

The plant is looking really well gkboyd6. As fort the "crusting", that is from the nutes and water mix that may leak up when pump is running. All my machines do it in some form. When I see it I take a paper towel and wipe it away.

Hey guys -- bunch of new leaves on the plant, progressing well. My question now is, should I be trimming the leaves or just keep letting it do its thing? imgur.com/a/QxE3Ns6imgur.com/a/MoCRewY

It is looking really good. I would several more days before removing maybe two no more then 4 of the largest leaves.

The plant is looking good, gkboyd6! Others with experience will likely chime in, but if it were my plant I would cut off some of those larger leaves, especially the ones on the top layers. It will allow the lower ones to get more light and will also encourage the plant to grow. Good job and good luck on the Sweet Heat! Eager to see when it starts producing!

Looking good. I have never pruned this plant. I have removed the largest leaves. I usually start with the 4 largest ones. Then wait a couple days and remove 4 more. After that I have removed a few here and there leaves no matter the size so the inside of the plant gets some air.
Do not over do it however, I have done that in the past. I get scissor happy some times. I am trying to reign myself in LOL

What beautiful green growth! I echo Shawn and clumsythumbs about removing the largest leaves. I also want to add that I love your corner unit. That had been my favorite, but mine were the old version with CFL bulbs, before they made the LED units. I miss that shape. Enjoy!
