Has anyone grown african violets in their AG? There leaves grow roots readily in water so why wouldn't a mature plant grow well? Would the light output of be too high?

From what I read they should grow. But the root of part in the water may get too big. I There is also mention Here. There is a bowl Gadget with a led attached for them. If that works why not the AG.

I used my older bulb type Aerogarden to start a new violet. I put one leaf into a pod, by first poking a bit more of a longer hole in the pod, and after awhile it rooted. Then I took it and planted it in African violet soil. I think since violets need to dry out to force them to bloom, I don’t think they would grow well in constant water.
