I've been working on these 4 kale plants for awhile now I discovered that if I cut the stem down it would branch and the leaves on the branches would stay smaller. Not great for a grocery store selling big bunches, but awesome for me looking to get small, tender leaves. I've cut these down once or twice and they are still coming back.

Interesting. I should try that with one of my kale pods.

Sounds like a great idea. How far down do you cut?

I've been leaving a couple leaves from the parent stalk plus whatever is on the branches. They bounce back pretty well. One in the back corner has been struggling since day 1 so I have a replacement sprouting in another machine.
