Help with Aerogarden Bounty Elite

Just opened the box followed the quick setup guide and then plug it in. My touch screen says welcome blah blah blah.......
With two boxes to choose from, quick plant or Home. I try to touch quick plant but no response not even a flicker. So then I try Home same thing, the screen is not respondingnding at all. Might this be a defective monitor or does anyone have any trouble shooting hints to fix monitor. Please and Thanks in advance, for any guidance.

Do any of the touch screen commands work?  Meaning can you touch anything and it does work or the screen does nothing no matter what?  Try unplugging it and replug it in.   If that does not work may I suggest you contact CS.  If this is a new unit purchased from an authorized vendor they may replace the base unit.  They will also run you thru a few tests.
