I was wondering, because of the different watts sizes in the LED lights from different units, does a 60 watt LED ( Farm) do better at growing tomatoes and peppers and other tall veggies then a 45 Watt Bounty? I am debating whether to order a Farm XL in the future. I know there is a height difference, I just was curious how much of a difference the stronger lights make to the plants.

Better results for sure. Question is..do you have enough people to use up all that you grow in the Farm? It is te dream of people who can or make sauces!

I love my tall machines. This is just for me... but getting a farm would be too much work. The dumping of water alone. My back cannot handle that. Even if I use a siphon, the buckets still need to be dumped. Also unless I placed it on a platform it would be too low for me to squat all the time. love the look and the use of them, but I will keep my Bountys, Ultras and Extra. Carrying the tall machine bowls is not that heavy and I can do those.
And yes, I agree with @cornne, the higher the wattage, better results.

I considered what you both said. I agree the farm would be a lot of work dumping that water. For now I ordered a Bounty I want to try the LED’s on plant growth. I may gradually order more of them to phase out my old models. Thanks!

You won't be disappointed. I know several members had the CFL and the LED's and like the LED's much more!

I had cfl's and then the Ultra led's came out. I saw a huge difference. That caused me to go out and buy tripods for 2 large Led bulbs which I used to supplement the cfl machines. Then the Bounty came out and ..even better growth! Now most of my machines are either Ultras or Bounties. I mostly use Bounties for vegetables, large crops like lettuce and choi, and the SS6 for smaller vegetables and flowers. Sink-side I have the Harvest which is handy for herbs or other simple projects. The Sprout I use as a novelty for 3 pods of a decorative flower in the Yarn Room, but that is now retired for a while. Once you get a Bounty you will be amazed at the difference between that and the CFL's. But..I grew many GREAT successful projects in my CFL machiines incuding toms and peppers!
