Thanks for the reassurance, Corinne. I have never grown flowers in an AG before, so this is a new adventure!

These seem be be growing a couple of inches a day. I keep wondering if they are going to flop over and die. I am in uncharted territory. And they are drinking a LOT of water.
I had to remove some leaves that were blocking the water fill hole.

I usually(not always) leave a vacant hole next to the water fill hole because of that very reason. As for the petunia growth, I think they will thrive under your care and when they bloom, just deadhead regularly. I am eager to see some buds soon! It will be florific!

Note to self: Do not attempt to grow bedding petunias in a Harvest again.
Some of them are just starting to form buds. Once they bloom, I will cut them WAY back!

Yikes, sher! They are huge! Is your hood at max height yet? I do see some flower buds!

Yes, it's at max height and the petunias are growing over the hood.
But I am so excited about seeing flowers soon!

Okay. I am not happy with this weed patch. If I cut it back, it will just get bushier and more unmanageable.
I plan to terminate it as soon as the first few flowers bloom.
Next time I'll make sure I choose a more AG friendly variety.

One more photo before I terminate it. The plant is such a mess that I don't even care about seeing the blossoms.
I am so disappointed. I have some AG cascading petunia pods that I will replace them with, but it will take me a few days to get excited about planting again!

Do not let that deter you from AG-ing. That will happen time and time again when experimenting with custom seeds. After a while you will find your groove in choosing custom seeds that are compatible. It is just something we ALL have to try and learn hands on.I still make mistakes because I love to take AG risks!

I agree with Corinne. I have had my fails but also had many more great projects. That is the thing with custom, you never know. I remember a GAL we had that I supplied all the seeds for all that participated. A few did well. Mine failed miserably.
It you are terminating, put it behind you and start something new

Can you trim them back and pot them..(you are prob'ly disgusted with them right now I know). But they would make a great potted plant. They stretched because they did not have any light over them and were seeking for a light source.(as you know)
