Fellow aerogardeners, have any of you had success in growing spinach in the aerogarden? I have tried twice with seeds purchased from Johnny's Seeds, and a packet purchased at Lowe's. Neither time did a single seed germinate. Is spinach unhappy in hydroponics? Does anyone have any input?

Hello!~ DO a search for spinach and you will find those who have grown it (or not). Or if this works, click here

Spinach is notoriously difficult in Kratky hydroponics, which I also do. I have never tried it in a. Aerogarden.

Attachment DeletedI am in the early stages of spinach growth. I am experimenting with Giant Noble and Bloomsdale. The seeds in the front pods were kept in the fridge in wet paper towels inside baggies for 6 days and then 3 of the seeds that had started to sprout were placed in each pod. I then took 3 additional seeds of each variety that had little tails and put them in another sponge that I soaked in water for an hour, wrapped the sponge with seeds in it in a wet paper towel, put them each in a baggie and back in the fridge for 3 more days. These are the spinach pods that are in the back. So far, I don't see much difference with the Giant Noble but the Bloomsdale that was left in the fridge inside a sponge seems to be growing a bit faster or better. I'm curious to know at what point do those of you who have success with spinach in an AeroGarden pull down to just one per pod? I’ve heard from a few people that didn’t get growth beyond this stage and wondering if I should give it a little longer. I already pulled a smaller one from the pod with leaves.
