Hi everyone!
So far I've only grown herbs but want to branch out.
I bought romaine, cherry tomatoes and bok choy. Can I mix and match these? Do some veggies not play well with others?
Any inside anyone has is much appreciated.

My bok choy grows well next to lettuce (although I haven't grown romaine). As for growing next to vegetables, I've had mixed results. My very first batch of bok choy was successful nestled between tomatoes and a pair of SMALL fairytale eggplants. See below: As the eggplants grew bigger, however, I was no longer able to grow bok choy beside them. The eggplants seemed to stunt the growth of other plants. Even the tomatoes didn't do very well.

Welcome to the forum psparrow ! Some people will grow lettuce with other plants. You have to also keep in mind that some plant do not like the same amount of nutrients as others. With that said, I have always grown lettuce by itself. Lettuce is a fast producer in the sense that you can harvest the lettuce in 4 weeks. I end mine after three harvests. But that is just my preference. Check out the Herbs, Tomatoes and then the Veggies one. There are some good topics there to assist. What machine do you have?

If oyu plant tomatoes and lettuce together at the same time just starting off they may be fine. I say that only because lettuce is a fast grower and you can keep the nutrients a little light for the tomatoes in the beginning.
Please be patient as others may answer. Especially with yesterday bring a holiday.
