We harvested a bunch of lemon grass from our giant bush outside. It’s time to make my lemon grass chicken curry dish. It’s scrumptious and freezes well so it’s good for do-ahead for dinner party.

You know I do not think I have ever cooked with Lemon Grass.

It’s so yummy. Very woody, though, so you only really use the bottom several inches. Some just pound the stem and throw it in the soup or curry like you would a bay leaf and fish it out later.

The landscaper harvested more lemongrass! I thought that last batch was it for the season. These are even fatter at the base so I should be able to have more of the tender interior. I have them soaking in water so they don’t dry out. (I hope that’s correct to do). I’ll be making another curry, this time a double batch, for the freezer.
