I got the celosia seed kit. Based on my research of plant heights I thought it would work with a harvest. But the pods say 'tall' on them. Did that mean I'll need to put them in a bounty?

If it's any consolation, the kits that my Sprouts came with had several pods marked as Tall... You might be able to get it to work, but according to the AeroGarden product listing, "The Rainbow Fire Seed Kit grows large and tall and requires the 24" high growing space provided by taller AeroGardens such as the Extra, Ultra and Bounty models."

I did the celosia kit and you definitely need a Tall machine..Bounty, Ultra and perhaps a Classic will squeek by, but it is doubtful since you'd be pruning off the tops of the feathery flowers. Here is a web photo of a random kit (ebay vendor ad) which would give a good idea as to the height in a Tall machine. The hood is raised way up.
For Harvest machines there are custom seeds of dwarf celosia on the internet.
These reliable Dwarf seeds which I grew in my machine were bought from ParkSeed. They are perfect for a Harvest or Sprout.

I just ordered some of the Rainbows from Park after you mentioned it. The colors are so pretty for Fall. I had forgotten all about this flower! I will have an indoor AG project and start some for outside EarthBoxes as well.

Damn, do I now have to order more seeds too?
@cornne, when do these get planted? Would two weeks from now (assuming it takes that long) be too late?

I am plating mine today, which may be early for fall seeing they come up and are about an inch by day 10. I searched the forum and found the projects that both you and I did. Mine was a 'fail' because it was a rainy, rainy summer and the plants just got washed out! I will make sure they are in soil pots and hardened off this time around before putting outside. There are only about 8 weeks until Labor Day signaling 'summer's end'.
