I'll be honest with you. I have no idea what to expect from this.
This is one of those long-lost heirloom vegetables, brought out of cold storage by the Seed Savers Exchange. Have I ever grown celeriac before? No. Have I ever seen celeriac before? No.
The plant is described as being 10-14" tall on the back of the package, but it's supposed to be started 12 weeks before your last frost, so I'm expecting a very slow grow.
I've placed three seeds into a rockwool pod and placed it in my Sprout, with no nutrients added to the water.

This is celeriac. It is also called celery root.

Two weeks in, still no signs of germination.
I'm glad I didn't add nutrients or the Sprout would be overrun with algae by now.

What is the germination time on these?

What is the germination time on these? The package says 10-20 days, but I don't know how accurate that is

If it does germinate, are you planning to transplant into soil?

If it does germinate, are you planning to transplant into soil? I'm hoping to keep it in the Sprout - it's around 180 days to harvest from the time the seeds germinate, I think, so it would be the middle of the winter by the time it's ready to transplant

This is taking so long that there's the slightest amount of algae in the Sprout! (nothing that a little bit of hydrogen peroxide can't fix)

Had you added nutes? Or is that from the clean window view of the water where light can get in?

Had you added nutes? Or is that from the clean window view of the water where light can get in? Still no nutes - I think it is a combination of the window view, and maybe some leftover residue from the last plant I had in it.

Going to give up on this for now, might try to germinate some seeds manually before I put them in a pod.
