I don't know why, but I seemed to start my outdoor garden late this year. Usually I'm busy harvesting in July and pulling out things to start my fall crops in August. This year I have only harvested a handful of peppers and tomatoes so far. Bunnies got ALL of my beans and have destroyed my strawberry patch and birds ate most of my raspberries and blackberries (the neighbor sporadically feeds the birds, when they don't feed them, my garden gets raided).
My entering August garden is robust though. Today I randomly sowed cilantro seed saved from last year and sowed a square foot of dragon tongue beans. I as looking for my cauliflower and basil seeds but they aren't in the seed box so I may have to order some. Tomorrow will be cabbage, kale and spinach!
