I planted these Heirloom Cherry Tomatoes last Sunday. Not bad for 6 days.

I am very interested to learn how these grow and taste, and how much nutes you use on them when they mature.
I got pods when I ordered my last Harvest. I have not decided whether to plant them indoors or plant them outside next year.

Yes Corinne, I used the recommended 4 capfuls for the first 2 feedings for the Farms. It's 6 capfuls after that. I haven't grown these for a while so I'll stick to recommended quantities. The peppers are all coming in now. Two should crest the label tonight, and the other two are showing plenty of green.
If these are the same as the previous Heirlooms I've grown then they are my favorites. The other kit varieties didn't have much flavor for me. The Golden Harvest are OK, but not worth the effort. The Mighty Mini's I found flat out gross tasting. They are paste like.

Here are the Heirloom Tomatoes at two weeks. I love how they are really developing sturdy bases. Nice and thick.

I am impressed with the thick little "trunks" too.
I may retry my mini diy dwc to have space to grow a couple.
mike, how many liters per minute of air would you use in a one gallon dwc. I have read one, and that more would cause heat friction. And the medicinal people say at least 2 lpm.
I have not had good luck so far with dwc and would like to give it another shot.

I believe the default setting was 1 on my pump. I had that branched off to 2 totes and 6 5-gallon buckets. When I went to just the 2 totes, I bought a quieter pump. I don't know the default on that pump. I did scale it back a bit once.

I'll tell you, I haven't read up on the pumps to be of much help on that. I would have read more if I had any real problems. Noise was my main problem.

They are growing so fast! They must love the Farm's light.

These tomatoes bother me. The plants look very healthy, but they aren't even 6 inches tall. They have buds all over them. If tomorrows feeding doesn't help them get vertical, I'm not sure how to help them. It's so dense in there where will the tomatoes grow? Anyone have any ideas?

I am having the same issue with my Red Windowbox from a cutting. It is short but way too dense.
I wanted to leave it alone and let it grow as it pleased. But I think I am going to have to prune the center to open up space for light and air circulation.

I did prune out some leaves to get air circulation. @cornne may have a better idea.

I did a fairly extensive pruning job on my tomato. Now all the squashed, curled up leaves can get light and breathe. I hope it doesn't cost me too many tomatoes.
So far I have buds, but only 2 flowers.
Do you ever add anything other than AG nutes to your tomatoes?

No, I tried the Mooch before, but found no discernable benefit for tomatoes.
