Mine grew slowly but consistently until the tomatoes ripened. Then they had a growth spurt. Now they have a lot of tomatoes again and they have slowed.

No, 2 gallons. 4 for both sides. I think if you filled the bowl up to the top rim it may be close to four gallons, but I'm pretty sure I never fill my 1-gallon watering can more than twice per side.
BTW, I did check the manual and it is 2 gallons to the fill line.

There are so many tomatoes in here. Four plants each with massive clusters of tomatoes under every branch. Amazing.

The tomato default, 16½ hours. 5 am to 9:30 pm are my choice hours over 8 am.
