Name: Dianthus Super Parfait Series Raspberry Vendor: Mountain Valley Seed Company Machine: Harvest 360 Sponges: Aerogarden No nutes to start
I finally got this long-awaited flower project going!
I wanted to plant some Gold Dust Alyssum with it. But the package says they take 180 days to flower, so no go.
Photos when something happens.

I used to grow these in vitro in a lab I worked in down in Florida. We were working on cleaning the plants of viruses and bacteria. Then we would do micropropagation. Never got to see them bloom though, the media was balanced for vegetative growth.

What a fascinating job! I don't even understand what tissue culture is.
Hopefully, you will get to see blooms in all their glory before too long!

Two of the plants were stunted. So I transplanted the extra plants in two of the healthy pods into the pods that held the runts.
One is showing a fair amount of transplant shock. I'm counting on it recovering.

I still have 2 runts. The front right plant is crisped, probably light burn. I plan to snip the burned part off.
It looks like flowers are coming on the left rear plant.

I expected them to be beautiful, but I was surprised at how brilliant they are.
The red is a deep, true red. And you know how I love red flowers!
