I can't say it enough but I can only wish to be half as successful as our Pepper King.

That goes for me, too!

Thank you. There is always so much to learn, I really started learning about growing on the AG when I joined Corinne's forum in 2014. Before that, I only grew herbs.
Last night I added 23 ml Nutes, 20 ml Mooch.

OK, here it is. The first taste test of a ripe NuMex Orange Spice Jalapeno pepper.
I ate this pepper in three bites. I only drank cold water after I finished the pepper. My first taste was a light sweetness. I didn't have much time to place the taste before the heat hit. It was hotter than a standard jalapeno. The heat affected the front of the mouth, roof, tongue and lips. It didn't get to the cheeks or throat. The heat lasted longer than the green one I tried before, but not significantly. Throughout the process I could taste that sweetness. It was light without being cloying. There was no bitterness. This did not taste like a jalapeno. The closest I could put the sweetness to was cream soda. But I have to note, I was drinking coffee with Splenda and Half and Half an hour before, so I don't know if that influenced it.
Overall, a very nice experience. I'm not sure what dishes that will pair well with, though.
Grade: B+

Thank you for the review. Mark may want me to try these. I am going to post it on the Pepper Review Thread. If needed it can always be amended

Well, it looks like I am hosting one of the Christmas gatherings this year. Time to shut down the messiest gardens and start cleaning. Here is the final yield for this garden.

Perfect pickled peppers! (Sorry, I couldn't resist.)
They are a work of art!

Does the pickling process make them spicier or milder?
