I planted these seeds 9 days ago. I am rather intrigued by these jalapenos because they are said to be a very hot jalapeno. I bought the seeds from Jim Duffy at www.superhotchiles.com/. Below the photo is a video of a couple taste testing one of these peppers grown from Jim Duffy's seeds. I think I'm really going to love this project.

what a beautiful sheen to that pepper! The gal was struggling to keep her composure and it made me chuckle..it must have been Sooo hot! I thought she was going to take a small bite and wolfed down the whole half in one go! This would be me..
Mike..get your jars and labels ready! I foresee sauce in the making at Mr. Park's house in a few months! That is one beautiful pepper!

I hope the peppers turn out to be that large. The other photos I've seen they were smaller. We shall see. I will make a batch of chili with these. But I will make sauce, too.

Another one you may want to keep your eyes on , Shawn, is the NuMex Sandia Select. This is an 8" dark green pepper with higher Jalapeno heat. I just ordered some seeds from Amazon. Do not confuse these with the original NuMex Sandia. That is a thin-wall pepper grown more drying and turning into powder. I can't wait to try these. The Sandia Select is a thick wall pepper. I am headed to Target today. I ordered a couple of bins for cleaning grow decks. This may be a bit of over kill, but I really want to start with sparkling clean grow decks. I also ordered 4 gallons of vinegar. I didn't go with the Walmart bin. This is what I ordered for pick up. www.target.com/p/sterilite-28qt-clear-plastic-under-bed-storage-bin-with-lid-white/-/A-13794483?ref=&ref=OpsEmail_Order_572_Default%20OPU%20B&j=169802&sfmc_sub=386445942&l=20_HTML&u=93694342&mid=7284873&jb=613336It will be large enough to put both Farm decks in at the same time. This will require a couple gallons to fill it 1-inch deep, though. That's OK, I plan on pumping the vinegar back into the jugs for future use.

I really would like to clean my decks on my older machines and maybe the news ones too if it happens on them.

Here are the Orange Spice Jalapenos at two weeks. I've thinned them down to one plant per pod.

These jalapenos are doing well. They are only 7" tall at 4 weeks, but tomorrow they get fed and their first shot of Mooch. We shall see.

They look promising. Will all three stay in the Farm when they get bigger?

There are 4 plants. I figured if you can grow 2 in a 1 gallon basin, you should be able to do 4 in a 2 gallon basin. Space is the real issue. This is all an experiment, trying to push grow space.

I am learning a lot from your feeding schedule, especially the amounts of Mooch.

Well, it's 30 days since planting. This is typically when I decide whether to top the plant or not. The orange jalapenos are making the decision easy. All four plants are splitting nicely on their own, so I won't be topping them. Also, these plants have grown 1/2" in the one day since I added the Mooch.

Until I read your posts I didn't realize that some pepper plants split on their own.
Also appreciate the notation about the added Mooch result!
