Hi everyone, thanks for answering my questions in the welcome section. I wanted to share back pics of my lettuce growth.

Such healthy, beautiful lettuce! And the thrill of being able to see the white roots never gets old!
I see that you, too, are concerned about giving each little plant all the room it needs for good air circulation, and to to grow and expand.
You are doing great! Thanks so much for sharing your photos!

Sher the room is only because I came here before planting, and saw other users gardens and advice. I mean why would AG give me 24 holes if I wasn't supposed to use them all...

I used every single hole when I first started! My personal problems with lettuce came from letting too many seeds grow in each pod. The leaves were so squashed together that they held onto excess moisture and got mildew.
Others very successfully grow more than one lettuce plant in each pod--in every hole!
Go figure! It's an Aerogarden mystery to me!

The seed variety determines how many to a pod, I have learned. With loose leaf like salad bowl or Black seeded simpson you can plant 3 comfortably..even more. With Romain..only 1. I have planted a full bounty with 2 or 3 seeds of salad bowl and it did great every time.

Thank you for the explanation, Corinne. I hadn't considered that it might be the lettuce variety.
