I'm experimenting with these in the AeroGarden. Partly because I'm super curious to see if it will work, but mainly because weather has ruined all my root crops grown outside this year, and I miss fresh carrots. Basically, I'm basing this whole growing process based off what I've learned from reading ERR0R1755 post on radishes and turnips-- which I'm also giving a try because I love those too. I choose to start with the Oxheart carrot simply because it arrived first and I'm impatient lol. My Parisian carrots however are here now, so I will give those a go after this experiment is done. Both varieties of carrots grow quite small thought are are meant to be perfect for rocky soil. So I figured if any carrots would do well in an aerogarden, it would be these. So here we go: Day 1These are the seeds that I planted I'm planting 1 carrot seed per sponge. I always feel bad thinning my seedlings plus, I figured that the carrots might be happier with zero competition. I tried my best to keep the seed towards the top of the sponge so that it would be easier to start to pull out. I've planted a total of 5 carrots. One in my radish/turnip garden after I accidentally killed a turnip and 4 in my farmer. Neither of these machines have nutes in them. I will likely add nutes though in the next few days because both machines have plants that have recently sprouted and probably want to eat lol. I probably should have waited on this, but what can I say, I'm impatient at times lol. I will keep you all update on how this turns out.
