Greetings All,
Total newbie to gardening and the Aerogarden (Farm). I just started batch of romaine lettuce and cherry tomatoes. As soon as I took the domes off I started to see browning of some of the leaves on both of the lettuce and tomatoes (Picture attached). Cherry tomatoes are showing something similar. Water is a combination of distilled and filtered (not softened), roots look white-ish and healthy, care and feeding has been to the letter of the guide. Any thoughts or insights would be greatly appreciated.

hobbes42 , if you leave the domes on long enough for the leaves to contact the plastic, it can cause them to rot from too much moisture. The domes should be removed before the leaves touch them.
It looks to me like that is what happened in your picture.
Just cut off the bad leaves, and the plants should be fine.
And wecome to Aerogarden Addicts!

Welcome to the forum!
As sher had stated, this can and most likely will happen when the leaves hit the dome. The condensation wilts those leaves fast. Take the domes off before the plant touches them. Also those being so low, if they are laying on the deck and the deck gets wet it can happen. Just snip those off.
May I ask, do you have the tomatoes and lettuce in the same bowl or are they on different sides and bowls?

Sher, thanks for the comments. I'll keep an eye on things and see how things play out.

Shawn, thanks for the comments and inputs. Lettuce and tomatoes are in separate bowls on the Farm with only half of slots (6) occupied on each. As a rookie mistake, I suspect that the density of tomatoes is a bit much at six of the twelve slots as is the limited height of the Farm.

Many have planted all 12 pods of lettuce and or herbs with no problems. However you may want to give a space or two if sense. Usually no more then three tomatoes or pepper or combo. What Farm do you have (what grow weight 12, 24, 36")?
