Hi all - I received an AG Heirloom salad kit and I currently have an empty AG Harvest 360 (and soon an empty AG Harvest standard). I am hesitating on just planting everything and filling up all 6 holes as it seems that would be too much for this model. I am thinking of planting three out of the 6 supplied - or would that even be too much? Thanks for any advice. Jeff

Hi Jeff . I have grown lettuce quite a bit (can see in my Garden Patch). I have always filled up the machine. Does it get a little crowded? Sure...I have a standard harvest, not the 360. MAYBE if you wanted to plant 5...(leaving middle empty?) might appreciate the little extra space. The gardens get a bit cramped, but not in a bad way. Also depends on the variety...if I am reading you correctly, you have the AG kit, which I have used. I would recommend planting all 6. This is what one of my Bounty Lettuce gardens looked like 5 or 6 weeks in 20190222_101451 by Aaron Blasyak, on Flick Hope this helps! I would recommend checking out the Garden Patches for lettuces/greens and seeing what people have done. I almost always fill mine up unless it is larger plants like tomatoes or peppers.

Thanks clumsythumbs, those look great! I will plant 5 or 6. I just remember planting 3 AG Heirloom cherry tomatoes last time in these units which was a bit much. This is my first try at leafy greens so thought I would seek some advice first. Thanks!

Awesome. Yes, tomatoes and peppers definitely can only do some, but greens are more compact. Good luck!
