Just got a shipment from Reimer Seeds. One of the packets is for Golden Scallop Squash, which I hope is the thing that I know as patty pan squash. From their site:

I have no clue as I do not eat it. But I may have to add a Vegetables Board for Squash, Beans, Cukes and eggplants

I’ve never thought of growing squash before. Never been a huge fan. However, there is not a single person to whom I’ve served this who didn’t really like or love it. I read right past it (because, gross) but my vegetarian sister served it and opened my eyes.
...oh darn, I just went to google it and haven’t found it yet. I’m pretty sure it was Gourmet magazine which would explain why it’s not up anymore. I will search my old copies.
But for a hint, you roast thinly sliced and halved zucchini tossed with olive oil, salt and pepper, high oven heat, smash it with a fork, and mix in yogurt and green onions. Sounds horrible. But it is sublime.

To grow squash with the Aerogarden, do you set it up on a table that has a lot of room to spread?

Well, the aerogarden is sitting on a table formerly occupied by an out-of-control tomato plant, so there is precedent.
