Got so excited that I forgot to snap a photo, but the lettuce was big enough that it was trying to eat the pequin, so I gave it all a trim and had myself a nice big salad for dinner. I look forward to the day that I can add tomatoes and cucumber to it from my gardens!! For now it was just the lettuce with dressing and a sprinkle of shredded cheese, because shopping is the worst and I refuse to go until I absolutely have to. I really liked the varieties that I planted, they all had such a wonderful, fresh taste that's impossible to get with anything store-bought! I look forward to more harvests!! You know, I'm with sher, it is so green and pretty, it kind of looks like a prop (plastic)...LOL. Like you, I'm worried that I won't be able to tolerate store-bought or what they might serve in a restaurant. Really getting spoiled by the lovely, ultra fresh greens. Picked within 20 feet of the kitchen, and served up without ever seeing a package or refrigerator! I'm looking forward to a great salad with dinner tonight, along with a new Asian inspired Peanut Ginger Dressing. It should be a pallet refresher with a Thai inspired Yellow Curry Chicken with Potatoes.

That sounds like a wonderful dinner! Store-bought and restaurant does taste a little... off? Not bad, really, just not how you expect after you get used to having fresh all the time. It makes me grateful for things like AG that let you grow indoors year-around with very little effort!

Harvested all the lettuce and removed the pods so the pequin could grow in solitary glory (look at all those flowers!!!). He had to have quite a haircut to fit back under the light though

Thank you!! I didn't think I'd want another small AG after buying my Sprout but the color practically forced me!! And I was so happy with it that I bought the second Harvest now sitting in my kitchen, though they were out of the lovely green color. What I want the MOST, though, is that red Bounty Elite, but they were out of stock when I was buying my Bounties. They're back in stock now, but I'm getting low on space. Maybe someday I'll free an area up for one!

I do love my Bounty and the red would be so pretty in my kitchen. But the Bounty Artisan is taking up the best kitchen spot right now and I love it too. I really like the porcelain bowl. Now, if they start making a porcelain bowl in red, all bets are off and credit card is coming out!

Lol same. Iād never looked that closely at the Artisan before, and I regret that now! I love the idea of a porcelain bowl, and the photos on their website make me think a red finish would be really lovely!!

And, I just talked myself out of the red one, because it might clash with delicate pink flowers? LOL...gotta find a reason? There are subtle differences, But the biggest, to me, are the lights. You go from Basic being 30 watts, "plain" for lack of a 2nd name, being 40 watts, Elite at 50 watts and then Artisan at 60 watts. But I'm not sure I recognized that when I got the Artisan because of the porcelain bowl. I almost wonder if they planned it that way because of the higher wattage lights? The bowl tends to stay pretty cool, even in the kitchen where things can warm up! Still...red porcelain....
