I'm so excited! I've cleaned and started a new garden in my Bounty. I've pretty much done what @zyphax did in HERE, but like this: Planted in a Bounty Elite Artisan Portulaca Happy Hour Mix from Park Seed 2 seeds per pod, 9 pods planted Park Seed Sponges Will add nutes once germinated (not 100% sure why "we" do this, but I'm giving it a try) Fingers & paws crossed! I hope they cooperate! I do feel like I've had a full day already! For a Sunday! I had my first lettuce harvest with lunch. Just a simple oil & vinegar dressing. It was tasty. Served that with a new recipe for Sloppy Joe's. Then I cleared out and cleaned out the Bounty's Herb Garden. Started a Pot Roast for dinner. Then I planted the new flower garden! Can't wait to share the progress and beauty!!! Very hopeful, here! I think I'll sleep well tonight!

I'm so excited for you! I've really enjoyed this mix. Also, I can't remember who started the no nutes until germination thing. But it helps a ton with preventing algae build up on the sponges prior to plant growth.

There is a thread on this here.

There is a thread on this here. Thank you Shawn and @zyphax, that clears things up for me...but brings to mind another question...What do you do about the "scheduled" reminders to add nutes? Do you worry about the delay in the beginning? Ignore the delay? Wait as many days as you delayed? I know, I'm probably overthinking it. Sigh. Algae is everywhere in the PNW! We treat our roof tops to get rid of the stuff. Power wash our houses, walkways, patios, etc. It is a constant battle...OUTSIDE. Don't want the stuff inside too!

campingcorgis I try to sink all my feeds up on all of my aerogardens. I'll feed on the weekends. So I'll just wait until the weekend to feed once something germinates. Usually if the feed light isn't on by that weekend it will be on for the next. So I'll usually let it flash at me until the following weekend when it is time to feed again.
I feel like there is a better way to do this, but I haven't researched it.

Thank you @zyphax, that makes sense. I think I overthink too many things! Chill ? How do they say...Life, like beer, is best when you chill it? Something like that...

I send them loving vibes, every time I walk past them. Which is pretty often, since they are in the center of the house/kitchen.
They are itty, bitty...I hope they are Portulaca? Of course, the seeds were also itty bitty! They arrived in a capsule!

I remember Shawn had some really bright colorful portulacas in a project. The germination hurdle is accomplished..now ....ONWARD to BLOOMS!

I remember Shawn had some really bright colorful portulacas in a project. The germination hurdle is accomplished..now ....ONWARD to BLOOMS! Thank you...on another note...I read somewhere & tried to find it again, but could not. Sigh...I read that you have had trouble with AG and I wonder if you've ever had the electricity coming into your home tested? I ask because my MIL had a lot of trouble, sometime back, in a brand new house. Lots the coffee pot, then the TV, then some other things & finally the washing machine. The other things she replaced, but the washer was new, like the house, so she called for repair and he figured out that she has "brown electricity". Apparently a line was exposed underground, just a bit & would cause issues in the rain or something. Then, another friend lost a few small appliances, but when her Espresso machine went out, she called the power company & after some back & forth, they figured out that the transformer outside of her house had gone bad. Brown electricity again. Anyway, that probably isn't the case with your stuff, but just thought I would mentioned, just in case you want to read it out or something? Thanks on the kudos!

My Portulacas did great. The only reason I ended them was because my mom liked them and I gave them to her to bring home and plant outside.

The Portulacas continue to grow. While I planted only 2 seeds per pod, some have 6 or 8 little seedlings popping up! Maybe they are GMO crossed with bunny rabbit DNA?
