Hi everybody! I've been lurking and admiring everyone's cool gardens and all the amazing plants you're growing, so I thought I should register. I'm currently growing Tom Thumb peas in my Harvest Slim and the AG heirloom cherry tomatoes in a Bounty, and waiting for delivery on a Bounty Elite. I think I'm going to try bush beans in that one!

Tom Thumb Peas are fun and tasty to grow. I have grown them a few times. It is also a pretty plant. I am not much of a tomato grower but we do have many of them here on the forums.
I think you will enjoy the Bounty Elite, I had several of them and still have some but not in use as I am using the Farms at the moment.
We look forward to hearing more about what you are growing, planning to grow in the future and see some pictures too! You can read up on how to post pictures here.

darais211 , your cascading petunias should transplant beautifully. Mine usually do well, though not always as well as the ones in my avatar!

Welcome, areyoukittenme. Growing peas and beans are fun projects. And tomatoes (and peppers) are my favorite crops to grow.
I am so glad you joined us. It will be a joy to share your Aerogarden journey.
And welcome, darais211. I look forward to your input. And your petunias should transplant just fine!

Hi! I am brand new here, an AG lover, and have had some success growing herbs, cherry tomatoes, lettuces in my Harvest. I really was into drying the herbs and loved being able to actually have my very own on hand to use, as I do NOT have a green thumb! I had really hoped to grow microgreens in one of my Harvest models, as Ive never grown them before myself. The AG company is completely out of stock of the microgreens kits, unfortunately. Any ideas about how to retrofit my Harvest so I can grow microgreens without the kit? I have the seeds... that's all though. I'd really appreciate any ideas and advice. Thanks in advance and I'm so happy to be joining you all in this great forum! Be well everyone 😀

So glad to see you here, jd. Welcome to Aerogarden Addicts!
I don't have an answer to your question. Hopefully someone who does will see it! If not, you might try posting it in the Aerogarden Models board.
Good luck!

jd, Hi! Have you contacted Aerogarden Customer Service to find out when the Harvest Microgreens Kits may be back in stock? Have you considered using a sprouting jar until you can get hold of one of the kits? I don't think that you can jury-rig your Harvest to produce microgreens. The Harvest Microgreens kit consists of a special deck that simply replaces the standard deck. The microgreens deck connects with the pump nozzle at a height that causes water from the bowl to flood the felt on the deck whenever the pump comes on. The water runs out of the deck when the pump turns off. Thus the kit uses an "ebb and flow" method for growing microgreens on felt. The microgreens deck has to connect with the pump nozzle exactly right or the floodwater will be too high or too low. Also the deck has holes and an overflow channel that allow the water to run in and out. You also need special covers for the microgreens that are germinating. Here are photos of the manual for the Harvest Microgreens Kit. I hope that you can enlarge them enough to read them. If not, I can try to take some different photos. I love the Harvest Microgreens Kit--not so much the Bounty Microgreens Kit because it is difficult to install. You might be able to get a used Harvest kit on eBay or maybe in the Amazon Warehouse where they sell returns. You can use microgreens felt that you buy from a seed company instead of the AG felt, but you need the specialty AG deck, trays, and covers. Sorry about the uneven lighting on the photos.

Welcome jd! Happy to have you with us. I never had a green thumb either, well not before AG's. I actually had a black thumb.
I do not grow micros but we do have some members that do that may be able to help. I look forward to hearing and seeing more of your gardens!
Again Welcome!

Not all Walmart stores have one, but if yours does, they might have the Harvest Microgreens kit in stock. My Walmart "Super Store" has them. Or maybe just order online from Walmart?

Hello.I am new here. I first started with Aerogarden last fall and was amazed with the results. I am now addicted. Living in Wisconsin I have A short time to grow outdoors. I started out with two harvest basic, then one harvest elite slim, and now have four Bounty elites. I started out just growing herbs which I continue to do this summer, and started romaine lettuce in one of my Bounty elites A couple of weeks ago. I plan on using the others to grow more veggies over the long winter. I'm glad I found this site to see others like me who love Aerogarden.

After lurking in the background and reading posts for awhile, I decided to register and say hello. I live in a desert area with rocky, poor soil so my garden is small and done entirely in containers and elevated planters. It's difficult to grow lettuce and other greens here because of the heat. Everything bolts so fast.
In January, I bought my first Aerogarden, a Bounty, with the idea of using it to grow a few herbs during the winter and experiment with starting veggie seedlings in the seed starting tray. You know what I'm going to say next. I became absolutely hooked on the whole experience and now have five Aerogardens -- Bounty, Bounty Elite, Harvest Elite, and two Harvest Slim Elite. There is a little genie in the AGs who keeps whispering that I need one more...and I listen! It has been fantastic to grow bok choy, a variety of greens, and lettuce indoors. The basil, dill, parsley, and cilantro started indoors in the AGs transplanted beautifully to the outdoor garden. So it has been a win-win-win. Next Spring, my goal is to use the AGs to start all of my veggie and herb seeds for the outdoor garden.
Thanks to all of you on Aerogarden Addicts who have helped answer questions along with the way without even knowing it!
