I'm fairly new to the Aerogarden (and gardening in general), but I've never had much luck with chives. The tips are turning yellow and seem to be dying but I really don't know what to do. I used tap water the first time, but I am switching to distilled water. Is there anything else I can do to save these chives? They're my favorite herb :( Chives

Be careful with distilled water. I believe the ag nutes are formulated for tap.
May I ask, how close your light is to the chives? Also how much nutrients and how often are you adding them? Are you dumping and refilling the water basin every 4 weeks?

Hello and welcome nikkimj86! Happy to have you join us.
Chives... they do not look bad at all. I have found that some of my tips do the same. If the like (as @zyphax mentioned) is too close or touching it will cause that.
I need to post an updated picture of mine but if you look closely all of mine are the same. I just trim that off before using.

I've been following the suggestions for nutrients which is two capfuls every 2 weeks. I've drained and switched the water once so far and that was 2 weeks ago, so I will do it again in 2 more weeks!

Have you tried cutting the nutes down a bit?
I watch and listen to my plants. If you think it is too much then lessen it some. Invest in a dropper, something like this and you can measure that way.

Thanks! I'll try that! How much do you suggest I cut down? All of my other plants seem really healthy, so I don't want to do any damage to them.

What machine are you using? For my herbs, I personally stick with about 6ml. If I think they need more I move to 7ml and then 8ml if needed. Of course watch your plants. The majority of my tips do that. I never worried. As long as 99% (which they are) are good I would say they are fine.
