I received these seeds through the Seed Savers Exchange's ADAPT 2021 program. Placed three seeds in a standard AG pod and placed it into a glass of water, no nutes added yet. Will move into a gallon jug and place into my grow tent once it germinates.

Did you sign up for multiple trials with seed savers? If you got your seeds I'm hoping mine show up soon too!! Exciting!!

Did you get an email from them with a tracking number? I got mine recently and the trial information in SeedLinked updated around that time.

Yup! If tracking holds up they’ll be here the 13th, but it didn’t say if they were sending everything at once or if they were breaking up the deliveries, I signed up for lettuce, okra, paste tomato, slicing tomato, and winter squash did all the seeds for your trials come at the same time or did they just send you the lettuce first?

They all came in one package! I originally signed up for the slicing tomato and winter squash trials as well, but once they sent out the invites, I declined those two since I wasn't sure if I would be able to grow everything within a year.

All three seeds germinated! I thinned it down to one seedling, and I'll transplant it once the leaves open up.

Added 1ml of CALiMAGic and 1tsp of MaxiGrow to a gallon jug and placed this seedling in it.

Going to have to restart this one, the water evaporated faster than the plant could grow roots and the plant dried out.
I checked at mid-day and it was over 90F (!) inside of the tent, so I decided to move this tent from the room I had it in to the basement. I'll restart this soon.

Too bad on the restart but you found the cause and are correcting it!

Replanted two seeds in rockwool tonight - will update once they germinate.

It took a while, but a seed germinated and grew enough roots for me to feel comfortable transplanting it. I moved it into a two liter bottle, filled with nutrient solution at a rate of 5ml AG nutes and 1ml CALiMAGic per gallon. I moved the grow tent into the basement, so it will be a cooler environment, which should prevent the previous issue. The tent was empty aside from a friendly spider until I added this plant.

The cooler environment should help a lot.
Hope the spider eats any bugs that may invade the tent!
For the first time in my life, I don't mind seeing a little spider around my plants!

This is promising so far! I did not rotate the plant, it seems to have turned itself around.

Also, something to note - light green plastic does NOT block enough light to prevent algae growth, I can already see it. I'll add a bit of hydrogen peroxide and put a towel or something around the bottle to block the light.
I have a green glass bottle (from gin) that I will try, but so far the only transparent container that has worked for me has been dark brown glass.

It looks like it likes the bottle.
