Is this normal? Its hard to see in the pic but the ghostly moonlike shape toward the left (if you zoom) is the seed. The other ghostly light slightly to the side and below it is this fine gauzy web. I don’t know if I should take a little stick and try to clear it or if its helping the seed to germinate. flic.kr/p/2kL2Qkr

Yu can dip a q-tip in hydrogen peroxide and touch/lightly rub the top of the sponge to control it. It's not a big problem.

Hello, this is not harmful. You can just carefully remove it with a toothpick.
However if you view the "How To's, Q&A, Problems and Solutions" category there is a thread called AeroGarden Q&A's And AG Videos thread and the very first post addresses this
