3/28/21 1st Sprout Flowers: English Daisy ENDED: 4/28/21

Finally, I've put the new Sprout to good use.  Looking forward to more flowers in the kitchen!  I've placed the Sprout next to the Bounty, hoping they enjoy company and the added benefit of the Bounty's light too.  Fingers & paws crossed.  

Planted today in the AG Sprout
English Daisy, Farm Mix, from the Seed-Vendor-That-Shall-Remain-Nameless-Here
Tiny seeds, reported to have poor germination, old eyes, maybe 3-5 seeds/pod, 3 pods
AG Sponges from Plant Anything Kit
No nutes added yet


Wish I could camouflage the electric cords...

Day 5: NOTHING to report.

Some seeds take a while. Also, the 10 watt light on the Sprout can slow them down.

Day 9: Nothing.  Added nutes as encouragement.

English daisy seeds are supposed to take 2-3 weeks to germinate.

Hope they make it.

Sounds like a great idea, hope they sprout soon! I put an order in for English Cottage from Aerogarden a few days ago and plan to try them in the sprout initially. Have not ordered from “Seed-Vendor-That-Shall-Remain-Nameless-Here”, 😅 but will look up info for English Daisy!

Quantum, I have not grown the English Cottage Garden mix from Aerogarden, but the photos are beautiful. I hope it thrives for you!

Oooo...I want to grow that English Cottage mix someday too!  Too many beautiful and tasty things to grow!!!

Yep, agreed.  I don't really need to use the Sprout for another project, so I guess I'll let them be.  At least, for the time being.  Fortunately, the Sprout lives next to the Bounty and the Bounty is beautiful with Portulacas!!

This has remained completely unchanged for a month, so, I'm throwing in the towel & ending it later today.  I expect to receive some basil pods tomorrow and I'll plant some of those.  More info on that tomorrow!  

Funny thing: today's email brought a $5 coupon from PayPal for Bean Acres!

Oh, Sher, please don't be!!!  It wasn't a recommendation you made.  It was a comment.  And, it wasn't a huge order.  And, I haven't tried any of their other seeds.  They may work just fine.  

Besides, I'm looking forward to starting some Basil in that Sprout...but more to come on that tomorrow!

I tried English daisy once and they failed.  I was hoping your grew.  Maybe they just don't like hydro.
