Remember my 9 little seed starter rockwool cubes with baby romaine seedlings? I will not be able to get them into the grow tent for a while because I need to move it to another room.
But the time had come that the seedlings had to be separated and transplanted.
So this is what I ended up with, not counting the 3 plants still in a rockwool cube!
Since I don't want to mess with a small Kratky system, we plan to eat whole heads small to free up Aerogarden space, leaving the plants in the Bounty.
Then I'll transplant them to the grow tent after I get it set up.
Salad, anyone?

sher Have you posted info on your grow tent? I’ve been looking at some of them over the last month and would be curious about your setup. TIA.

I did away with the Mr. Stacky because it got a buildup of fertilizer salts and started killing the Swiss chard.
I cleaned out the tent and will be moving it into another room so the hum of the air pumps doesn't disturb my sleep.
I will be keeping the rain tower and using DWC totes when I start the new setup. I am not yet sure whether I will use three totes in the tent and move the rain tower out into the open, or keep the tower in the tent.

What variety and seed company are these? The Ferry Morse Parris Island Cos Romain I have been trying to grow had a terrible time germinating and is growing very slowly compared to the Iceberg head lettuce. Oh.. just looked at the packet, no wonder.. iceberg 48 days to maturity .. this particular romaine is 60-72..

I have had horrible luck with several different kinds of Ferry Morse seeds. I will no longer buy them.
These are Parris Island from Everwilde Farms. They are a superb variety and vendor.
I do not wait for the romaine to head. We start eating them as soon as the leaves get big and keep on harvesting them that way.
It's fast.

Someday I really will get my romaine transplanted into the rain tower. Just been too busy to get it set up in its new space with different lighting yet.

The Romaine is already heading in the Bounty. Instead of transplanting it I may have to just get more started in the totes.
